The American Arab Forum (AAF) is an organization that needs to grow and expand its base of support. We are seeking quality candidates to join our Board of Directors and Advisory Board. Term of service is 2 years.
 Required:
Candidates must adhere to and espouse the mission, goals, and philosophy of AAF.

Candidates must be citizens or legal lresidents of the United States.

Strongly recommended but not required
1. Involvement in local Arab American Community activities.
2. Ability to attend Board meetings either in person or via teleconferencing.
3. Involvement in American civic, cultural or academic organizations.
4.Experience working on issues of immigration, cultural sensitivity and diversity, school textbooks , curriculum and the Middle East
5. Experience with fundraising, public speaking and writing.


Helpful but not required:
1. Strong academic background in any or all of the following fields: US Government, constitutional, civil and or immigration rights.
2- Expert knowledge in issues of American-Arab relations and history.
2. Expert knowledge of Arab culture, language and history
