Jill Lawrence, Senior writer for USA Today conducted a wide-ranging interview with AAF staff and members of the community on Thursday, March 2, 2006. Ms, Lawrence is working on a feature story on Arab and Muslim Americans' political orientations, campaign involvements and political empowerments. Present in the interview were the following:

Aref Assaf, AAF,  Ghassan Shabaneh, AAF, Mohamed El-Filial, Islamic Center of Passaic County, Aslon Goow, Paterson City Councilman,    Mohammed Khairullah, Mayor of Prospect Park, NJ and  Feeras Nasser.

The two hour interview covered specific issues of activisms, role of the mosque, party shift, personal voting preferences. Additionally, a discussion ensured on such issues as included civil rights, post 9-11 obstacles, political activism, and foregin policy.
