Paterson, NJ, 2/21/2006

The American Arab Forum, AAF,  is pleased to welcome Mr. Said Malki to its growing list of editorial writers. Mr. Malki will regularly contribute original commentaries on the various issues of relevance to the American Arab community, United States foreign policy and intra Arab relations. Mr. Malki holds a PhD in Organization and Management  from Capella University.

Below is a short bio of Mr. Malki

My name is Said Malki. I started my professional activity in 1993 at the Department of Finance (Morocco). I was promoted to the post of Divisional Inspector in the same department in 1997. In 1999, I came to the United States as a legal immigrant. My main purpose was to develop my skills in terms of Research-Development and academic skills. I have a Bachelor in International Economic Relations (1993) and Master of Science in Economics (1997) and a PhD in Organization and Management (2005) from Capella University, Minneapolis, MN. My doctoral dissertation focused on United States Dollar Behavior. Specifically, I developed A Multiple Regression Approach in Forecasting United States Currency Exchange Rates against Canadian Currency. Presently, I am a faculty instructor and an economist researcher.

In addition, I took several courses and participated in seminars in many universities such as Columbia University, St John's University, Fordham University, C.U.N.Y, Yeshiva University, and University of Miami.

Furthermore, I had the opportunity to get graduate credits from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and also a certificate from the N.Y.S.E. Also, I wrote several research papers as a member of the Northeast Economics and Business Association (www.nbea.us) and the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines (www.iabpad.com). I am proud to be ethnically Arab since my  ancestors immigrated from Jazirat Al Arab to El Maghreb. They belong to famous Arabic tribes in Morocco. I am concerned about Arabic issues especially the Palestine question, Arab economic integration, and ethnic issues in the Maghreb Arab.
