Prime Minister Pelosi
April 9, 2007
Much is yet to be said about Speaker Nancy Pelosi's recent bipartisan visit to
the Middle East. The White House, itself incapable of conducting US foregin
policy without causing serious harm to our national interests, has accused the
Pelosi team (and the Democratic Party indirectly) of usurping the Executive
Branch by meddling in foregin politics. It is worth noting that Pelosi is not
setting independent foreign policy nor a shadow government, but domestic policy.
It is all about the 2008 Presidential elections. Feet in Damascus, head in Iowa,
Handshake in Jerusalem, huge contributions in New York. It was neither Israel’s
interest nor Syria's that guided her, but the good of the Democratic Party and
some may argue the mandate given by the American people during the 2006
Congressional elections. More
